Thank you for this information. Next weekend (May 5), I will be in Ohio to receive a First Family membership in the Guernsey County Genealogical Society, Cambridge (SE Ohio). Qualification required tracing ancestry to settlers in the county by 1830. I have several, but worked mainly on 2: One was an immigrant from the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands, came in 1807. The other was a Revolutionary War veteran who moved his family (along with elder sons & their families) to Guernsey County about 1813 or 14. You're correct that Ohio is loaded with history. I'm an individual who "hunted & pecked" my way through the research - not a pro. Located a private party who has the original land patent for a land purchase by my Isle of Guernsey forebear. Ohio is extremely rich and beautiful in history. Wishing you well in this area of your work. Mary Jo Disler
